A good father. A shooting guard. A two-time Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Most Valuable Player (MVP). James Yap may have the disadvantage in height, but his skills can be in the international league.
Yap, being an ordinary athlete during his University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) days, is now one of the best players in Philippine professional basketball.
With his never melting shoots and extreme athleticism, he carried his team to five PBA championships and garnered a lot of awards. Thus, a lot of Filipinos see him as the best basketball player in today’s era.
Earning the nickname “Big Game James”, he dominated the stats and won the coveted MVP Award not once but twice during the 2005-2006 and 2009-2010 seasons.
Moreover, Yap is not just a basketball player. He also takes responsibilities as a father to his son by controversial TV personality Kris Aquino.
As his basketball career continues to prosper, Yap’s personal life also gets better. From his much publicized relationship with the Presidential sister, Yap is now happy in love with Italian executive Michela Cazzola.
Until now, Big Game James continues to redeem himself as one of the best players of PBA with his million moves.
